Falken Tires helps power the action at Red Bull Car Park Drift in UAE

Ajman Port was transformed into the ultimate drift track on November 25 for the UAE leg of the Red Bull Car Park Drift series. Sharing in the action, Falken Tires joined racing fans to cheer on the drivers who tackled the challenging course.

Drivers blazed around the track, billowing smoke, burning rubber and drawing loud cheers from the crowd throughout the day, but it was Faisal Al Zaabi who emerged as the winner and received the title of the UAE’s ‘King of Drift’. Al Zaabi was a clear winner, scoring 245 points, while Jawad Tuffaha and Manaa Al Falasi finished second and third respectively.

The course was designed by legendary drift driver Abdo Feghali, who presented the drivers with a series of tricky obstacles, including forklift trucks and barrels, to negotiate their way around. With the drivers pulling out all the stops on the track, the fans were also giving their all beside it, loudly shouting their support and encouragement as each driver took his turn.

For Falken it was a day of excitement, too. We didn’t only share in the drama on the track, we also brought our own off-the-track action. Our Falken booth was home to two PS4 gaming consoles and throughout the day motoring enthusiasts got to test their driving skills on the thrilling Project CARS game. Visitors to our booth also walked away with some fantastic Falken goodies, including t-shirts, caps, keychains and a 20% discount voucher on a future purchase of Falken tyres.

Faisal Al Zaabi wasn’t the only winner on the day either, we ran a Facebook competition for our Falken followers and the winner received a couple’s invite to the event and an electrifying co-pilot drive with drift legend and Red Bull athlete Abdo Feghali.

Now all eyes turn to Oman for the ultimate showdown on December 9. Bringing together the individual event winners from the Red Bull Car Park Drift 2016 series, this exhilarating final showcase at Port Sultan Qaboos is sure to deliver high octane action in spades.
